Curriculum Vitae
Olena Zolotarova was born in Donetsk in 1956, May 7.
Olena finished high school with honors and during the last two years of studies had been a Young Communist League organizer. In 1973 Olena entered Donetsk Polytechnic Institute (mathematics department). In 1978 graduated with honors.
In 2000 Olena obtained a degree of Ph. D. in Economics in Kiev National Economic University (economic and mathematical methods department), where she passed Ph. D. Thesis Defense (subject: Economic and Mathematical Modeling of Investment Generation Processes).
Professional experience:
2009 – the International Maecenas Art Center founder.
2006 – President of non-governmental organization Social Entrepreneurs of Ukraine Association.
2002 – initiated and created social movement Civil Parliament of Women of Ukraine. Became vice-speaker of the Parliament and is still holding the rank. Headed Kiev regional cell of the Civil Parliament of Women of Ukraine.
2001 – Fuel and Energy Complex Advisor for Prime Minister of Ukraine.
2000 – actively participated in creation of Manufacturers and Entrepreneurs of Ukraine party, became a member of board of directors of the party.
1999 – deputy director of Ukrenerhovuhillia subsidiary enterprise (producing oil and coal), member of Economic Sciences Academy, member of Manufacturers and Entrepreneurs Union of Ukraine (solving issues concerning fuel and energy complex).
- – headed the Association of Independent Suppliers of Electrical Power (development and implementation of electrical energy industry and energy conservation reforming programs in Ukraine).
1991-1997 – created New Technologies small enterprise, engaged in development and implementation of new operating computer systems. Then Pivdenno-Zahidna Kompania (South-West Company) holding was created with several separate small enterprises. The main activity of holding was coal supplies to power plants and energy supplies throughout Ukraine.
1988-1989 – worked in Radiotechnik cooperative in Donetsk, created and headed computer equipment new technologies development and mathematical maintenance department.
At the present time Olena is actively engaged into cultural projects, reviving national traditions of philanthropy and art patronage. Olena initiated and founded the International Maecenas Art Center to bring these projects to life. The main aim of the Center is popularization and promotion of modern Ukrainian culture (particularly, figurative arts) abroad.
Married.
Has two children: 25 years old daughter and 23 years old son.
